Hi, my name is Gavin Shields and I’m the CEO and one of the founders of Stora. You may have noticed that we haven’t released any podcast content in a while, and I just wanted to explain why.
When we started Self Storage Explained, it reflected who we were as a business, helping lots of new startups and smaller operators get into and succeed in self storage. That hasn’t changed. We’re still helping lots of small operators get into self storage, but we’re also now working with large operators, people who are running 10, 20+ sites. And the podcast is going to change to reflect some of that as well.
So, we’re changing the name of the podcast to Scaling Self Storage. Whether you have one site or 100, there’s always room to grow. We believe that as a company, and that’s why we’ve rebranded this podcast. That’s the idea.
